In addition, there will be further discussion on the county’s plan to stop f and all county Unincorporated Area Councils (UAC) as of June 1.

“As you may know, UAC's are fighting for the continuation of their current support from the County,” wrote UBCC president Nancy Stafford in an email to Patch. “We think we serve the Unincorporated Area residents of our "patch" quickly and effectively in their wide range of needs for services/information from the County and I do not believe our elimination is a wise "budget cut". To me, it's shortsighted of the County to no longer support the already organized and in-place working services of 200+ "on- site" volunteers working for access to the County government on issues that affect their communities.”
