Woodinville Council Swearing in Newly Elected Councilmembers, Picking New Mayor Tuesday

Tuesday night's city council meeting will include the swearing in of Les Rubstello and reelected councilmembers Scott Hageman and Liz Aspen.

 

Tuesday night’s meeting will be the first for the Woodinville City Council in 2012 and will mark the swearing in of newest member Les Rubstello. Councilmembers Scott Hageman and Liz Aspen, who won reelection in November, will also be sworn in for their new terms.

In addition, the council will be voting among themselves for mayor and deputy mayor, both positions are elected on a biennial schedule. Currently, Bernie Talmas is mayor, serving out Chuck Price’s term to work in British Columbia. Deputy Mayor Jeff Glickman lost his reelection bid to Rubstello.

The Woodinville City Council meets on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Tuesday of each month in City Hall, Council Chambers at 7 p.m. Council Meetings that fall on holidays are rescheduled to the next working day.
