Woodinville Fourth of July Celebration

The city is once again teaming up with the cities of Bothell and Kenmore.

Woodinville will be kicking off its summer concert series with the Fourth of July concert at . The concert is the entertainment portion of the Northshore all day Fourth of July celebration events shared with Kenmore and Bothell. Spectators are encouraged to bring a blanket and picnic to the free concert.

“We will not be selling any food there,” said Alexandra Sheeks, assistant to the city manager.  She is quick to remind that alcoholic beverages are not allowed at the park.

The rock, blues, country and soul mix On the Level will start off the show at 1 p.m.  Up next will be the Kim Archer Band, with old school soul, funk and classic rock blended with sultry blues. The funk, hip-hop, nu-jazz group Global Heat will close the show.

The City Council wanted to hold a community gathering event, Sheeks said. A majority of the funding for the concert came from the city, but one-third came from sponsorship by local businesses, she said.

The Fourth of July concert will be followed by four more concerts in the summer series to be held at July 21 and 28 and Aug. 4 and 11.
