Woodinville Mayor Chuck Price Resigns

Effective July 31, Price cited a new job as the reason for stepping down.

Woodinville Tuesday announced his resignation from the , effective July 31, 2011. Price has taken new employment that no longer allows him to continue his duties as a councilmember, according to a press release from the city.

Price was elected to the Woodinville City Council in 2001. During his tenure on the City Council, he has served on the King County Jail Oversight Assembly, King County Metropolitan Solid Waste Committee, the Council Finance Committee, and Council Public Works Committee.Β 

β€œServing almost ten years on the City Council has been personally gratifying and has allowed me to contribute to the community that I love and cherish,” said Price in a statement announcing his resignation.

The Woodinville City Council is scheduled to discuss the vacancy at its August 2, 2011 City Council Meeting.
