Woodinville Water District Whittles 10 Commissioner Applicants to 2 Finalists

Interviews will be conducted at a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners at 2 p.m. Aug. 27, 2013.

Out of 10 people who applied for the vacant position on the Woodinville Water District Board of Commissioners, two will be interviewed for the position, according to water district officials.

Pao-Tsun "Paj" Hwang and Tyler T. Norwood are the finalists. Others who applied are: William Bogdan, Jim Dunlap, William Guenzler, Alan J. Keefe, Dale Knapinski, Michael Lucarelli, Timothy L. Schriever and Henry "Hank" Stecker.

The vacancy comes after former board president Ken Goodwin resigned in July because he is moving out of the district. Goodwin was on the board for 17 years.

Interviews will be conducted at a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners at 2 p.m. Aug. 27, 2013 in the District’s Public Meeting Room, Building A, located at 17238 NE Woodinville-Duvall Road. The public is welcome to attend.
The person selected will be appointed by the board for a term ending Dec. 31, 2015.

Applicants must live in the geographic boundaries of the district at least 30 days before appointment and be properly registered to vote in the district.

More manipulation by our Water District. They don't even have the courtesy to meet with 8 out of the 10 candidates. Guess that is why we only get 1 minute to speak with them as citizens during public comment. Another one of their buddies being appointed. What a joke these people are.

If that is true, then we do need to do something about it! Attend the 8/27 meeting and make a protest. Of course they planned it at 2pm. But I can be there. :)

Nine people would be happy to be appointed to the Woodinville Water District, but only two were willing to run a campaign to be elected by voters.
