A great resource we have in the Northshore School District is SEPAC. SEPAC stands for Special Education Parent/Professional Advisory Council and is a group that sponsors monthly presentations and monthly meetings to discuss and advise on district special education programs.
This years presentation topics include Advocacy: Working Together Successfully, Self Care for Families and Care Givers, The Frustrated Learner, Post Secondary Options, Recreation in our Community, Adolescence: What’s Normal? And Community Safety. For a complete least of topics, dates, times and information on childcare please visit WWW.Sepacnsd.org.
Besides presentations, Monthly meetings they also host a Woodinville holiday craft fair every year and this year it is on Nov. 5 at Woodmoor Elementary. My family went last year and surprised with the huge crowd and countless booths of handmade gifts that were available for purchase. I was told that this is SEPAC’s largest fundraiser to help support there cause.
