2nd Annual Taste of Woodinville: Sip, Bite, Win for WHS Athletics

The Woodinville High School's Falcon Athletic Booster Club event will feature restaurants, wineries and breweries from Woodinville.

 

Back by popular demand it's the Woodinville High School’s Falcon Athletic Booster Club's annual fundraising event, “Sip, Bite and Win – A taste of Woodinville” and includes wine tasting and food samples from Woodinville’s finest restaurants.

The fundraiser is on March 31 from 6-11 p.m. at the Northshore Senior Center. Tickets are $35 and can be purrchased online by clicking here. Tickets will not be sold at the door and space is limited and based on the participation at last year's event, organizers expect to sell out.

More than 500 students participate in the 19 different sports offered at Woodinville High School, she said. Many of the individual sports had booster clubs already, but in 2009 the school’s athletic director, Teri Agnew, asked parents to create an umbrella boosters club that would cover all the sports, Sellers added.

The Falcon Athletic Booster Club funds items that stay with the school or will benefit an entire team, such as:

  •  Uniforms and equipment for sports teams
  • Facility rentals not covered by the school
  • Training and skills enhancements for teams and coaches
  • Assistance for teams competing at the State level
  • Equipment or supplies related to athletics
  • Transportation
  • Additional coaching stipends
