Bothell High School Chamber Orchestra to Perform at International Band and Orchestra Conference

Concerts will be given by 30 organizations from around the world and Bothell's orchestra was one of nine orchestras chosen this year.

 

Bothell High School’s Chamber Orchestra will perform at the 65th Annual Midwest Clinic, Dec. 14-17, at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, Ill. Concerts will be given by 30 organizations from around the world and Bothell’s orchestra was one of nine orchestras chosen. Grade school, middle school, high school, college, military, adult and professional groups will all present concerts.

“This is an extreme honor for Bothell High School, Northshore School District and Washington Music Education,” said Bothell High School instrumental music director Phil Dean. “The Midwest Clinic is the most prestigious performance request our music department has ever received.”

Over 15,000 people attend the annual music conference along with 350 exhibitors, 565 booths, 90 clinics and only 30 concerts. All 50 states and more than 30 countries will be represented at the conference. Other concert performers include: Symphony Orchestra of Shanghai Nan Yang Model High School, Shanghai, Zhabei District China; Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, Chicago, Ill.; Kunitachi College of Music Blasorchester, Tachikawa-City, Tokyo, Japan.
