In celebration of Earth Day, preschoolers at Evergreen Academy in Bothell released thousands of ladybugs in their school garden.

In celebration of Earth Day, preschoolers at Evergreen Academy in Bothell released thousands of ladybugs in their school garden. Ladybugs feed on aphids (plant lice) and other insects that are harmful to gardens, trees and shrubs, making them an organic pest control and beneficial to the planet and the ecosystem. As part of the school’s annual Earth Day celebration, students have been learning about the important role ladybugs play in protecting and recycling the environment.
