The independent school is hosting events Saturday for students and alumni.

Chrysalis School, an independent learning school for grades kindergarten through 12, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with special events Saturday.

From 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., staff, current students and families will gather at the Carol Edwards Center for a 30-year memory walk, arts and crafts, student performances and games. An event for alumni from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. will honor the 1,500-plus graduates of the school with a cocktail party and musical performances by alumni.

“Three thousand students have passed through our doors in the last 30 years,” said school founder Karen Fogle. “I'm so proud of the contributions my staff members have made to the lives of so many families. Their dedication and incredible talent are worth celebrating!”
