Molbak’s Holiday Showcase Raises $5,200 for Schools Foundation

Molbak's gave the Northshore Schools Foundation money raised at the local nursery's Northshore Holiday Showcase Weekend, which kicked off its holiday season.

 

recently donated $5,200 to the Northshore Schools Foundation. The money was a result of hundreds of shoppers attending the weekend in November. Molbak’s donated 3 percent of sales from the weekend, which featured art displays, table centers and child friendly activities all coordinated by the students of the Northshore School District’s Event, Hospitality and Tourism Management, a high school Career Technical Education course in the Northshore District.  

"We are delighted to be the recipient of such a significant gift," said Carmin Dalziel, director of the foundation. "This investment is such a great example of our community coming together to support students. Molbak's made it a priority to support schools and the community made it a priority to shop locally. This investment in our community is a big win for all involved."

Dalziel said the donation from Molbak's will be used to support career and college readiness programs districtwide as a part of the Foundation’s mission to enhance the learning opportunities for all Northshore students.

Molbak's is a long standing supporter of education and the Northshore Schools Foundation, according to Dalziel, with Egan Molbak being one of the founding Board members of the Foundation.  

In addition, Molbak's donated anoteher $5,200 to the YWCA Seattle from its recent . A prercentage of that evening's sales were earmarked for the charity.
