Northshore Schools Foundation Annual Fundraiser April 26

The Foundation supports academic and enrichment programs to all Northshore School District schools.

A reminder that Tuesday April 26 is the Northshore Schools Foundation 8th Annual Light a Fire for Learning Luncheon. The foundation supports academic and enrichment programs for all Northshore students. This year’s luncheon will be at the Lynnwood Convention Center.

This year’s keynote speaker is Andy Wappler of  Puget Sound Energy and will act as emcee along with Dale Amundsen of Evergreen Washelli. Third grade students from Woodin Elementary will sing under the direction of Heather Arnold who received a 2007 grant from the foundation. The  Orchestra will also perform for the 500 guests anticipated to attend, according to Carmin Daziel, executive director of the Foundation. The music program at Leota received two cellos purchased with foundation funds in 2005 and 2006.

Ingelmoor senior, Claire Mortimore was asked back again this year to be student speaker after her successful speech last year. Ingelmoor received grants for heart monitors for P.E. classes and the robotics classes
