Passing the Torch is Seattle Metals Guild’s annual statewide jewelry and metal arts competition and exhibition for Washington State high school students. The program was started a decade ago to give students the experience of exhibiting their metal work and encourages them to consider a life in metal arts. The program also maintains a network of high schools and teachers teaching metals in Washington State, and provides professional development opportunities for these teachers.
