NSD Undecided on Makeup Days

The Northshore School District will decide how to makeup for lost school days after it hears from the governor's office, this Friday is still a day off.

The Northshore School District has yet to decide on how to make up for the days lost during last week's snow storm, according to Leanna Albrecht, district spokesperon. Despite loosing four days to snow last week (six and counting for Hollywood Hill Elementary which is still waiting for PSE to restore power), this Friday is still a non-student day, according to the district.

Currently, the school year is scheduled to end June 18, if the four snow days are tacked on to that, school end on June 22 (no speculation on Hollywood Hill's end date from the district).

The district posted this on its website;

"Friday, Jan. 27, is a non-student day and there is no school for Northshore students. Any changes to the district calendar are negotiated with the teachers’ union, and at this time, any necessary make-up days will be added to the end of the school year. The district is waiting for additional guidance from Olympia on the governor's proclamation on the winter storm. Information will be shared with families if any changes are made to the school calendar."
