Recycle Fundraiser for WHS Wrestling Team Oct. 29

WHS Wrestling Booster Club and 1 Green Planet are holding the event at the Carol Edwards Center.

The WHS Wrestling Booster Club wants your old electronics to raise money for the team.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. take your outdated monitors, computers and other electronics and appliances (see flier for more items you can donate).

The booster club and 1 Green Planet, a non-profit organization dedicated to diverting e-waste from landfills and turning those discarded gadgets into resources for other service organizations.

“We turn these disposed electronics into much needed resources. Funding from old, reused electronics and PCs can provide food or shelter, provide students with uniforms, and support environmental education and enrichment programs for children and communities, including monthly donations to the Issaquah Food Bank, Seattle Children's Hospital, and St. Jude's Children's research Hospital,” it says on the group’s website.

Booster Club members are also offering to come pick up your larger items for an additional donation, for information email: robmccaw@aol.com.
