WHS Earth Club Wins Green School Status

King County program offers special recognition for successful energy conservation, waste reduction and recycling.

Congratulations to for achieving Level One status as a King County Green School. The status is awarded through the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks, Solid Waste Division. The vision of the program is to practice resource conservation and engage students and staff in environmental stewardship.  

Level One participants have implemented programs to reduce garbage volumes, increase recycling, manage hazardous materials, and conserve natural resources. Level Two and Three conservation goals address water, energy, and transportation options.  

In 2010, three other Level One Green Schools were announced in Woodinville.  They are , , and .
