WHS Events: Feb. 28 - March 4

For the school week of Feb.28- March 4, there are many opportunities for Woodinville High School students to go to club events happening throughout the week.

Honor Society applications and hours are due Friday, March 4.  Any student who has earned a cumulative 3.5 GPA and has completed 20 hours of community service (5 hours must be school related) can apply to become an Honor Society member. Membership requirements, applications and community service hour forms can be found in the WHS Career Center or online at http://whshonorsociety.webs.com/index.htm.

On Friday, March 4, the sophomore class representatives will be selling Krispie Kreme donuts in the Commons during both lunches. Profits will be put towards the Class of 2013’s Prom and Senior Breakfast. Donuts are selling $1 for one, or $10 per dozen.

Here is a complete list of all the activities and further details regarding the sophomore class fundraiser this week:

Monday, Feb. 28:

• The sophomore ASB representatives are meeting in room 211 after school. They will be discussing the plans for the Krispie Kreme fundraiser that is happening on later in the week.

Tuesday, March 1:

• The Video Production Club is meeting after school in room 605. The club meets every Tuesday and Wednesday.
• The Science Illustration Club is meeting after school in room 604.
• The Anime Club is meeting after school until 3:30p.m in room 605.

Wednesday, Mach. 2:

• The Video Production Club is meeting after school in room 605.
• The Game Club meets right after school until 3:30 p.m. in room 605.

Thursday, March 3:

• The Gay-Straight Alliance Club, advised by Christine Traxler, is meeting after school in room 202.
• The Science Club, advised by Gary Thurman, is meeting in room 109 after school.
• Math Tutoring is happening in room 312 from 2-3 p.m. Snacks are provided for the students in the class.
• The AP World History Club is meeting after school in room 214 with Mr. O’Hair.
• For the Class of 2014, Woodinville High School is having an Open House from 6 -8:15 p.m. All subject departments will offer orientation presentations during each of the five scheduled sessions. Parents and students may choose which sessions they would like to attend. Light refreshments will be available in the Gym Foyer just prior to the department sessions.

Friday, Mar. 4:

• The Sophomore Class Representatives are having a fundraiser to raise money for the Class of 2013’s Prom and Senior Breakfast. They are selling Krispie Kreme donuts in the Commons during both lunches. Donuts are selling for $1 for one or $10 per dozen.
• The Annual Woodinville High School Daddy-Daughter Dance is in the Woodinville HS Gym and is from 6-8:30 p.m. There will be music, dancing, snacks, crafts, and photos! Pre-Registration per family is $25 or $30 at the door. For pre-registaration contact Kelsey Hayes at hayesgirl007@comcast.net with your last name and number of people attending including parent (i.e. an adult and two kids would say three are attending). This is a formal event, and is not limited to father-daughter couples. Any positive male role models (father, uncle, close family friend, brother, best friend's father) are welcome.

Since this week there are no sports games during the week, try to make it to all of the club activities after school and support the ASB by buying donuts! Have a great week!
