WHS Events: March 14-18

For the school week of March14-18, there are many opportunities for Woodinville High School students to go to club events happening throughout the week.

The High School Proficiency Exam (HPSE) is happening on March15, 16, and 17 for all sophomores and also juniors and seniors who haven’t passed the reading or writing portions of the test. Tuesday will be an odd class day (1st, 3rd, 5th) and Wednesday will be an even class day (2nd, 4th, 6th). Students that have already passed these tests may arrive at school at 10:10 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, those students can arrive at 9:55 a.m. for class.

The junior class is putting on a fundraiser selling American Apparel plain zip-up hoodies. The sweatshirts come in 21 different colors and are a great addition to your wardrobe for spring.  They retail for $46 in stores, but now through Friday, April 15 you can get them for $28!  Money and order forms will be collected every Thursday at lunch or sent to ASB via the mail.  You can make checks payable to WHS Junior Class.  Spread the word about this great deal to all your family and friends!  For more information, contact Kenny Raymond or Erin Osgood.

Monday, March 14:

• Falcon Cheer Team tryouts start today after school. If you have any questions contact Coach Laura Agnew at lagnew@lwsd.org.
• The Sophomore ASB Representatives are meeting in room 211 after school.
• The Junior Varsity Boys Baseball Team has a scrimmage at 3:45 p.m. at the Woodinville Baseball Field against Juanita High School.
• The Varsity Girls Tennis Team has a scrimmage at 3:45 p.m. at the Woodinville Tennis Courts against Juanita High School.
• The Junior Varsity Girls Tennis Team has a scrimmage at 3:45 p.m. at the Juanita Tennis Courts.
• The Varsity Boys Baseball Team has a scrimmage at 6:30 p.m. at the Woodinville Baseball Field against Juanita High School.

Tuesday, March 15:

• All students who have already passed the Writing and Reading portions of the HSPE can arrive at WHS at 10:10 a.m.
• The Anime Club is meeting after school until 3:30 p.m. in room 605.
• The Video Production Club is meeting after school in room 605. The club will be meeting every Tuesday and Wednesday.
• The Science Illustration Club is meeting after school in room 604.
• The Junior Varsity Girls Softball Team has a game at 4:00 p.m. at the Woodinville Fastpitch Field against Monroe High School.
• The Junior Varsity Boys Soccer Team has a scrimmage at 5:30 p.m. at Pop Keeney against Inglemoor.
• The Varsity Girls Softball Team has a scrimmage at 6:30 p.m. at the Woodinville Fastpitch Field against Monroe High School.
• The Varsity Boys Soccer Team has a scrimmage at 7:30 p.m. at Pop Keeney against Inglemoor.

Wednesday, March 16:

• All students who have already passed the Writing and Reading portions of the HSPE can arrive at WHS at 10:10 a.m.
• The Video Production Club is meeting after school in room 605.
• The Game Club meets right after school until 3:30 p.m. in room 605.
• Earth Club will also be having a meeting right after school.
• The Junior Varsity Boys Baseball Team has a scrimmage at 3:45 p.m. at the Woodinville Baseball Field against Monroe High School.
• The Varsity Girls Tennis Team has a scrimmage at 3:45 p.m. at the Lake Washington Tennis Courts.
• The Junior Varsity Girls Tennis Team has a scrimmage at 3:45 p.m. at the Woodinville Tennis Courts.
• The Varsity Boys Baseball Team has a scrimmage at 6:30 p.m. at the Woodinville Baseball Field against Monroe High School.

Thursday, March 17:

• All students who have already passed the Writing and Reading portions of the HSPE can arrive at WHS at 9:55 a.m.
• Math Tutoring is happening in room 312 from 2-3 p.m. Snacks are provided for the students in the class.
• The AP World History Club is meeting after school in room 214 with Mr. O’Hair.
• The Junior Varsity Boys Soccer Team has a scrimmage at 5:30 p.m. at Woodinville Stadium against Bishop Blanchet High School.
• The Junior Varsity Boys Baseball Team has a game at 6:30 p.m. at the Woodinville Baseball Field against Eastlake High School.
• The Varsity Boys Soccer Team has a scrimmage at 7:30 p.m. at Pop Keeney against Bishop Blanchet High School.

Friday, March 18:

• No school for students!  
• The Varsity Boys Baseball Team has a scrimmage at 12:00 p.m. at the AC Davis Baseball Field against AC Davis Senior High School.
