WHS Happenings Feb. 14-18

For the school week of Feb.14- Feb.18, there aren’t as many activities happening for Woodinville High School students due to the off week for sports teams, but there still are many club events happening throughout the week.

First, congratulations to the Woodinville High School FBLA for their performance at the Regional Competition. 67 members went to regionals on Wednesday, Feb. 9, and they came away with 86 awards. If a member received an award for their event, then they are moving on to the State Competition in April.

On Friday, Feb. 18, the sophomore class representatives will be selling Krispie Kreme donuts again in the commons during both lunches. Last Friday, the fundraiser was a great success, with the donuts selling out in minutes! Profits will be put towards the Class of 2013’s Prom and Senior Breakfast. Donuts are selling $1 for 1, or $10 for a dozen. If students don’t have the chance to buy donuts on Friday, then they have their last chance on Friday, Mar. 4 during both lunches as well.

Here is a complete list of all the activities and further details regarding the Sophomore Class Fundraiser this week:

Monday, Feb. 14:

• The Sophomore ASB Representatives are meeting in room 211 after school. They will be discussing the plans for the Krispie Kreme fundraiser that is happening on later in the week.

Tuesday, Feb. 15:

• The Video Production Club is meeting after school in room 605. The club will be meeting every Tuesday and Wednesday.
• The Science Illustration Club is meeting after school in room 604.
• The Anime Club is meeting after school until 3:30 p.m. in room 605.
• The Spanish Club is having an event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in room 307. It costs $5 with an ASB card or $6 without ASB.

Wednesday, Feb. 16:

• The Video Production Club is meeting after school in room 605.
• The Game Club meets right after school until 3:30 p.m. in room 605.

Thursday, Feb. 17:

• The Gay-Straight Alliance Club, advised by Christine Traxler, is meeting after school in room 202.
• The Science Club, advised by Gary Thurman, is meeting in room 109 after school.
• Math Tutoring is happening in room 312 from 2-3 p.m. Snacks are provided for the students in the class.
• The AP World History Club is meeting after school in room 214 with Mr. O’Hair.

Friday, Feb. 18:

• The Sophomore Class Representatives are having a fundraiser to raise money for the Class of 2013’s Prom and Senior Breakfast. They are selling Krispie Kreme donuts in the Commons during both lunches. Donuts are selling for $1 for 1 or, $10 for a dozen.

Since this week there are no sports games during the week, try to make it to all of the club activities after school and support the ASB by buying donuts! Have a great week!
