The cost of an undergraduate degree at the University of Washington could get as high as $11,567 depending on which budget proposal is past by the Legislature. Nearly that of the most expensive public universities in California, according to an analysis conducted by the Seattle Times.

Earlier this month, the paper reported the university was favoring out-of-state students who pay nearly three times what residents pay. Leaving many local high-achieving students with rejection letters.
