Woodinville High School Improv Team Wins a Spot at Seattle Improv Showcase

The team will compete in the finals of the Jet City Imrov in Seattle and won a spot as opening act for Unexpected Productions TheatreSports.

Woodinville High School's eight-member improvisational comedy team has won a spot as opening act for Unexpected ProductionsTheatreSports in January. The team also made the finals for the Jet City Improv Seattle Open being held on Dec. 11 at Jet City Improv in Seattle’s University District, placing in the top four of 13 competing teams last Sunday.

Seattle’s Unexpected Productions hosts the Hogan Cup competition each year. Puget Sound high school improvisation teams are coached by professional actors from Unexpected Productions. Each team has two competitions throughout the fall “season,” and the top four teams move on to the final. Woodinville, Bothell and Inglemoor all made it to the final this year. The competitions consist of improvisational games that are judged by professional actors/improvisers.

The team is Sarah Hubert, Jake Matson, Ashlee Ross, Averey Allen, Trevor Erickson, Cy Kaskes, Riley Siewert and HannahTammen.
