Woodinville High Sophomore Chosen for Statewide Board

Matt Spencer is one of only two students in the state chosen.

sophomore Matt Spencer was chosen to serve on the Washington State Board of Education. Spencer, one of two students chosen by the Washington Association of Student Councils, will serve a two–year term on the board. Spencer will represent students from the western side of the state.

 The 16–member State Board of Education is comprised of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, five members elected by school districts from Eastern and Western Washington, one private school representative, seven members appointed by the governor and two high school students.
