You are invited to Woodinville High School’s Advance Placement (AP) and College in the High School Information Night:
For: LJH parents and students
When: Tuesday, March 5, 6:30 – 7: 45 p.m.
Where: LJH Gym
This evening provides an opportunity for parents and students to learn and gather information about the AP program and college credit classes that are offered at WHS. Currently, there are 20 AP course offerings within English, math, science, social studies, business and world languages departments. AP courses are the most rigorous courses available and provide a unique learning experience for those who want to achieve at the highest level. Through AP’s college-level courses your student will:
- Be better prepared for college
- Can earn college credit while enrolled at Woodinville High School
- Stand out in the admissions process
- Lay a foundation for future academic success by developing the analytical and study skills required to succeed and prosper in college courses
This commitment includes time management, hard work, and academic maturity. Students are strongly encouraged to take the AP Exams in May to validate their work during the school year. The work is challenging, but the rewards are great and students can take pride in a nationally recognized achievement and find themselves better prepared to continue their post-secondary education.
Please join us for this informational meeting. We look forward to meeting you and answering any questions you may have.
