The school year is coming to a close, here is a list of all the events Patch could gather for the week.

Bear Creek Elementary

  • The Book Exchange book collection begins 1-3 p.m. Battle of the Books will be in the Librar4 p.m. is Track Junior Olympics at Inglemoor High School
  • The  Elementary String Concert is at 7 p.m. at the Northshore Performing Arts Center

  • 9 a.m. -2:50 p.m. Kindergartners go to Safeco Field

  • Bear Creek’s annual Volunteer Tea is at 3:15 p.m. in the Bear Creek Library.
Timbercrest Junior High

Tuesday May 31

  • The Geometry End of Course exams are on May 31, June 1 and June 2 during students geometry class. The EOCs will be designed to take 3 whole 50-minute class sessions.  On May 31, testing instructions will be given and students will start the test and continue the test on June 1 and 2. It is very important that students be present all three days for testing. If a student is absent on the day(s) of the assessment, the first opportunity to make up this graduation requirement will be in January/February 2012. Please be advised we will not be disrupting these classes during testing.  

 Friday, June 2

  • Michael Scott, international bestelling author of the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series, is coming to Timbercrest at 9 a.m. Seventh grade students will hear his presentation but anyone can purchase signed copies of his book.   • All library books and materials will be due on Friday, June 10. If a book is lost please speak with Ms. Jensen or Ms. Aguilar in the library.

Saturday, June 4

  • The TJH Jazz Hepcats will be performing at the Bellevue Jazz Festival, at 5:45 - 6:30 p.m. at the Bellevue Art Museum. 
Leota Junior High

 Tuesday, May 31

  • Geometry will be completing their End of Course exams, May 31, June 1, and June 2. It is critical that Geometry students attend these three days. While June 2 can be used to make up exams missed May 31 or June 1, there will be no make up opportunity for students who miss June 2. The only make up option will be next school year in January or February.
  • Testing for students in Algebra will take place June 7, 8, 9.  
East Ridge Elementary

  • 6th grade field trip to Museum of Flight
  • Spring Strings Extravaganza & Choir Northshore Performing Arts Center, 7 p.m.

Wednesday, June 2 

  • Spring Band Blowout  Timbercrest Junior High at 7 p.m.

Thursday, June 3

  • Junior Olympics Track & Field at Woodinville High School,  4 p.m. 
  • Last rehearsal for Tuesday/Thursday strings

Friday, June 4

  • Fourth grade field trip to Mercer Slough 9 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. 
  • All library books due 
  • Last rehearsal for Monday/Wed./Friday strings, 1st & 2nd year bands

  • Kokanee lost and found is overflowing. Encourage students to check for items left at school.
