Woodinville Students Shine at College Academics and on the Court

Lauren Hamilton, of Woodinville, a student on Fairleigh Dickinson University's Metropolitan Campus, located in Teaneck and Hackensack, N.J. has been named to the Honor's List for the Fall 2011 Semester. To qualify for the Honor's List, a student must carry a 3.5 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses).

Berklee College of Music announced that Nalini Krishnan of Woodinville has earned placement on the Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2011 academic year. To be eligible for this honor, a full-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or above; a part-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.6 or above.

Freshman  of Woodlinvill was named the Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week at Washington University in St. Louis. 

Gilkey earned her first UAA Athlete of the Week honors of her career after averaging 16 points and 10.5 rebounds in two Washington U. wins over the weekend. She recorded her second double-double of the season with 12 points and a career-high 14 rebounds in the Bears’ 59-50 win over Case Western Reserve University on Friday. Gilkey followed that with 20 points, one shy of her career high, and seven rebounds in Washington U.’s 86-74 win over Carnegie Mellon on Sunday. She shot 65 percent (13-of-20) from the field and 75 percent (6-of-8) from the free-throw line in the two games, and also added four blocked shots.
