Ski Report: Warm and Dry Weather Expected This Weekend

Some local resorts got dumped on earlier this week, but the precipitation will taper off by the weekend.

Well, that was fun while it lasted.

Unfortunately, the heavy snowfall that hit the mountains early this week didn't stick around long enough for us working stiffs. The good news, however, is that many resorts got enough fresh snow to keep things nice and soft into the weekend.

Bonus: sunny skies and high temperatures will make it feel like spring on the slopes, especially if you're able to make it up Saturday.

Summit at Snoqualmie: Summit is hosting a Military Appreciation Day on Saturday with deep discounts on lift tickets, lessons, food and more. The pass got dumped on earlier this week, and Alpental is currently getting some light snowfall. Forecast calls for partly sunny skies Saturday and cloudy weather Sunday. Little or no precipitation expected. Temperatures in the high 30s Saturday and Sunday. (Complete forecast here.)

Crystal Mountain: Crystal says it received a whopping two feet of fresh snow this week, which is continuing to make for some nice groomed runs. Sunny weather expected on Saturday, followed by a 30 percent chance of snow and mostly cloudy skies on Sunday. Daytime highs will be close to 40 degrees. (Complete forecast here.)

Stevens Pass: Stevens Pass will experience similar conditions to Summit and Crystal this weekend: mostly sunny on Saturday, cloudy with a chance of snow on Sunday. High temperatures in the mid-30s. (Complete forecast here.)

Mt. Baker Ski Area: Baker says it's getting snow right now, but the precipitation is expected to taper off by Friday morning. Mostly sunny Friday and Saturday; cloudy on Sunday with a 30 percent chance of snow. Spring-like temperatures, with a high of 45 on Saturday. (Complete forecast here.)

White Pass Ski Area: Snow likely for Thursday, shifting to mostly sunny weather on Friday and Saturday. Complete forecast here.)

Mission Ridge: Terrain park contest and Mountain Music Festival set for Saturday at Mission Ridge. Mostly sunny Friday and Saturday; 20 percent chance of snow on Sunday. (Complete forecast here.)
