Graham Kerr Speaking at Molbak's in July

One of the first celebrity chefs, Kerr will talk about growing food as well as cooking it. Seats are limited and registration is required.

Award-winning chef Graham Kerr, universally known for his 1969 -1971 television show, “The Galloping Gourmet”, has discovered the joys and benefits of kitchen gardening. In his latest book, Growing at the Speed of Life, A Year in the Life of My First Kitchen Garden, Kerr provides a whirlwind tour through his gardening adventures along with care and feeding recommendations for 60 herbs, vegetables and fruits.  And, of course, recipes, 100 tantalizing, simple and elegant recipes showcasing the produce he has grown and the healthful lifestyle he embraces. Kerr acknowledges that his kitchen has taken on a whole new feeling and he is cooking with greater understanding and simplicity now that he is growing his own fruits, herbs and vegetables.

Kerr will share the joys and benefits of the unrivaled freshness and seasonal variety provided by his vegetable garden at a special seminar and book signing event at Molbak’s on Thursday, July 12, 5 – 6 p.m.  Kerr will focus on more unusual vegetables like Jerusalem artichokes, bok choy, eggplant and kohlrabi, among others and offer cooking suggestions and tips to create healthful, memorable dishes drawing from the recipes in his recent book. Pre-registration required. FEE: $10, includes a soda and treat. For additional information or to register visit http://www.molbaks.com/events.html
