After enduring another rainy, cold day for  officials with the Greater Woodinville Chamber of Commerce said late last year they were changing the date of the annual event.

On the new Basset Bash promotional poster (see attached), Greene seems to be happy with the new date. The poster simply says, "Yay! No More Wet Hounds!"

Starting this year, events will move to Saturday, Aug. 10, and instead of the All Fools' Day Parade, the name will likely change to the Woodinville Community Parade, according to Dave Witt, the Chamber's executive director.

Organizers are planning an expanded day of events to celebrate the city's 20th anniversary of incorporation. A concert series has also been set for July.

Events on Aug. 10 will be expanded to include the pancake breakfast at the Woodinville Fire and Rescue headquarters and a community festival.
