Woodinville Farmers Market Report: a Great Place for Community to Meet

In addition to great produce, gifts, flowers and food, the Woodinville Farmers Market is the place to be to meet friends.

The has dedicated farmers and small businesses that come year after year to offer the community their goods. In return, the same members of the community are equally supportive.

Take Gwen, a resident at Fairwinds Brittany Park, the senior living community adjacent to the farmers market. “Gwen is probably one of the more consistent visitors who is always accompanied by her dog 'Teddy' and her walking companion Trygre,” said Joe Scott, market board member.

Gwen told Scott her family always had a big garden when she was a girl, “"My Dad planted about an acre each year to help feed the family."

“We love seeing her at the market because she is such an inspiration,” Scott said. “Always positive and occasionally with a story to tell, this nonagenarian is truly part of the community that owns this market.
