The Tolt Pipeline Trail - A Woodinville Blessing
We should count it a blessing that we have the Tolt Pipeline Trail runing through our Woodinville community
Last Saturday we looked for a long hike at the best, "close-in" wilderness available. Tiger Mountain? Mount Si? Yes, we considered those nearby foothill classics. Then we considered the drive to them, the new parking permit requirement, the over-flowing lots, the crowds ... and we thought again.
The Tolt Pipeline Trail shines as a jewel in the King County trail system. Horse people like it, mountain bikers enjoy it, dog walkers love it ... and the hiker looking for a good stiff workout rejoices.
As the Pipeline moves East of Avondale the woods get quiet. There's a deep woods experience. We even found a stream where we could sit and sooth our spirit. What a blessing we have in the Tolt Pipeline Trail.

Easy access, beautiful woods, safe and plentiful parking, no fees, no permits, no crowds. We just see our neighbors, many of whom are lucky enough to have backyards opening to the Trail.
