Molbak's Collecting Backyard Garden Bounty for Hopelink Through September

Molbak's is collecting fruits and vegetables from home gardeners for the organization's hunger programs.

Don’t know what to do with the excess vegetables growing in the garden (seriously, how much zucchini can one family eat)? Take that extra food to this Saturday and every Saturday through September.

For the past two summers, Molbak’s has collected food for , the Redmond-based non-profit organization that helps feed people in need in the region. Last year Molbak’s collected more than 2,200 pounds of fresh produce for Hopelink.

“Fresh fruits and vegetables are an incredibly important part of what we offer at Hopelink.  Without donations of fresh produce we are only able to offer the very basic food staples.  It is ideal when we are able to offer a variety with donated produce,” Glen Miller, Hopelink communications manager.
