Given the amazing forecast for tonight and Saturday...I suspect there will be many families watching…Read More Woodinville lacrosse. JV and Varsity play at WHS tonight. JV starts at 6:00, Varsity starting at 8:00. Lacrosse all day long tomorrow between 1-8th grade teams.

My concern is that you are going to add another 1000+ (800 residential units) cars on the road in…Read More downtown Woodinville?! And please don be naive to think that all those people will work and walk to their jobs in downtown Woodinville. Has this issue been addressed? Sorry I didn't read the 70 page proposal yet.

That's a really good point, Ron. Here's the sequence:
May 9, 2010: At the King County Council…Read More meeting, Lucy DeYoung’s real estate broker, John Corrado, explained that Woodinville has a "dire need" for more commercial land, and therefore needed UGB amendments.
September 26th, 2011: Lucy DeYoung emphasized the importance of transition, as you quote.
December 11, 2012: All three councilmembers who receive campaign donations from Lucy DeYoung and her associates -- Hageman, Aspen, and Rubstello -- plus Paulette Bauman, voted in favor of changing all residential and office zoned land at the southeast corner of Woodinville's downtown into Central Business District. This vote *eliminated* the transition between Woodinville's Central Business District and the agricultural land of the Sammamish Valley. http://www.ci.woodinville.wa.us/Documents/CityHall/Ordinances/Ordinance%20539.pdf

September 26th 2011. Lucy DeYoung was quoted in the Patch: "Hopefully, the personality of…Read More Woodinville won't change that much because of the fact that we are on the edge of the Urban Growth Boundary. We're a TRANSITION between Urban and Rural land so we really wan t to keep those qualities of rural life that we find attractive."
Compare that steatement to when Lucy DeYoung and Realtor John Corrado stood in front of the King County Council and pleaded for UGB adjustments that would allow pristine Agricultural and Rural land to be desecrated in the name of commercial development. Lucy DeYoung cannot be trusted on any level. http://woodinville.patch.com/groups/editors-picks/p/lucy-deyoung-talks-about-woodinvilles-future
