I am so pleased and appreciative of this terrific group, led by our wonderfully focused ChrisRead More Hansen-you are keeping our hearts, souls, and dreams alive for our future NBA Basketball Team!! We will persevere! No fear-even if it is a few years off-this may be just a warm up for the final steps necessary to bring our Sonics Home!!! They are coming! One of your biggest fan and supporter!! I'm with you Brent, except in one respect. Perhaps the Sonics would have stayed in Seattle ifRead More leadership, both Wasington State and Seattle, had generated a committed vision for a stadium. At the time, our local capacity for action was nil. Sacramento, today, has generated a serious, committed effort in an incredibly short time led by a mayor. Imagine that! So, noting that distinction, Howard, David, and even Clay, are kind of absolved. The threshold criterion in Stern's mind is the will to act on an arena. In that sense, he appears consistent. As for Howard, on one hand he appears to have had his one great imaginative idea when he opened the latte site. Hansen, on the other hand, is a creative generator. I still think a team will emerge, if not now, relatively soon, say within two years.

Could you tell I was a little peeved, Dan? Seriously, I absolutely agree about that Sacramento plan.Read More So many holes it's ridiculous. It will be interesting to see how H/B/N will respond. They're successful billionaires for a reason. I'm assuming helplessly losing out on an investment isn't one of them.

Social media spewed out 20 references to this guy. Research job applicants much Roosevelt? SuckeredRead More by a slick talking frat boy.

99% of coaches, teachers, and priests, are decent positive role models. The 1% get all theRead More publicity.

What's going on in our schools? When I was a kid (in the UK), the gym coaches wore tracksuits,Read More whistles and rarely conversed with the kids other than giving instructions. They were firm but fair. Seems nowadays anything's on the table. From dating students to being 'Friends' on Facebook. Meanwhile, both parents are 'busy' with work through the week and then make sure little Johnny's weekend is jam-packed with sporting events so that they don't have to think about 'family interactions' too much. It's a strange new world.

Oh my god. I am all in. I miss my team so much. It would mean the world to. Go Sonics.

I agree it was sliding into home plate winning the playoff game over the Yankees in 1995! We wereRead More in center field and could see his smile under the pile without binoculars!

Griffey had a great career despite an injury plagued final 10 years but at the same there's noRead More evidence he used performing enhancing drugs which were so common during his era. In my mind there's no question that he should be voted into the Hall of Fame before Bonds, Clemens, McGwire, Sosa, Palmeiro, etc. even though some of his career and individual season stats aren't as good.

Real big football fan huh Dexter? Doesn't knitting get boring?
Brent Champaco (Editor) January 15, 2013 at 04:31 am
I'll just say this. The timeout should have been irrelevant. After dominating the second half, theRead More Seahawks defense gave up a whole lot of ground in less than 20 seconds. I was shocked when I saw Matt Ryan complete those passes so easily. Monday morning quarterbacking on my part, I know, but I would have love to have seen the Seahawk coaches order those DB's to jam a little bit on the line. If you're playing nickel, there should be another DB to help if the receiver gets behind the first defender. It's a shame either way. Anyway, go Hawks!

Dan: The Voice of Reason. Whoda thunk? I agree. Let's start talking about Russell Wilson...
