Born in central WA in 1951 - I was not brought up as a Christian. A child of the 60's I found myself in the middle of the "Are you experienced?" generation. Rejecting the values of the preceding generation, we sought new values and the reasons for them in a spirit of "revolution is in the air." My searching led to personal crises of philosophical dead ends and drug abuse. I responded to the good news of God's love through Jesus Christ in the summer of 1969 and the resulting experience truly revolutionized my life.

I entered a Bible College in Seatte, finding confirmation of my sense that I would serve Him and others as a pastor. I began working in youth ministry in 1970 and went on staff as a youth pastor in 1972, being ordained in 1975. Since 1979 I have served as a lead pastor and missionary, including 17 years in Europe. I have pastored 5 church, three of which my wife and I pioneered.

Married my wife, Kathy in 1972, we have three grown sons, all married with their own families.

I am concerned about our culture and world, which seems to have lost its moorings, like a ship lost in a storm at sea, with no sail, no anchor and no compass. As a believer, my view is, of course, that God, His love and wisdom is the source of life and wisdom for living. My blog will address the effects of being connected to Him as the tree of life, for the individual and a culture.
